Job Description

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our team and support an important customer operating in the Automotive field.The candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Definition and planning of Energy / Hydrogen consumption and Longitudinal performances activities on S-Way range, that means simulation of it, with comparison to tests results, that shall be accurately planned with Product Validation
  • Execution of the simulations above defined
  • Simulations shall be conducted with VECTO, for the Energy / Hydrogen consumption and range homologation and with the internal virtual analysis environment
  • Continuous update of the engine/driveline layout and matrix for S-/X-Way xEV range, for Energy / Hydrogen consumption and Longitudinal performances during the project
  • Target deployment and first evaluations on Next Generation future projects
  • Update of impact calculation with potential Energy / Hydrogen consumption reduction measures
  • Post processing data from test bench, proving ground and simulation reports
  • Realization of accurate and/or synthetical documentation of the work done in all the following areas (forecasting energy/fuel consumption and autonomy via simulation, correlation with tests, results from tests required
  • Develop and implement methodologies for accurate Energy / Hydrogen consumption evaluation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 years of experience in virtual validation and performance role
  • Good experience in VECTO tool for Energy / Hydrogen consumption and range simulations
  • Knowledge in engine, gearbox, axle, and complete driveline layout, definition and specification
  • Knowledge in aerodynamics (Air Drag Test), tire technology and ADAS functions
  • Knowledge of INCA/CANalyzer or other similar tool for logging vehicle data Experience in Road/Benches Tests as an eventual plus
  • Fluent English knowledge
    Additional Information
    The whole activity duration is estimated to be 6-7 months in Turin
