Description:
COMPANY: POLITICO
This specialist marketing role will play a crucial part in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive awareness, demand, and adoption of our subscription and free products in the UK. This position involves close collaboration with product management, sales, and other marketing colleagues to ensure our products resonate with the target market and achieve business goals. This successful candidate will report to POLITICO’s VP of Marketing, Europe, working closely with the UK General Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of experience in growth marketing, with a focus on the UK market.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in managing performance metrics and optimizing marketing strategies.
- Strong experience with email marketing tools, social media advertising, and sophisticated lead generation CRM environments.
- Proven track record in executing successful growth initiatives and managing marketing campaigns.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Independent thinker who works well in a team environment
- Experience working in a media environment is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Product Positioning and Messaging: Develop compelling product positioning, value propositions, and key messaging that differentiates our products in the market. Ensure consistency across all marketing channels.
- Lead Generation: Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns to drive product awareness and generate leads. Monitor campaign performance and optimize based on data-driven insights.
- Targeted audience growth: Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns to drive targeted subscriptions to POLITICO’s freely accessible products (like London Playbook) Monitor campaign performance and optimize based on data-driven insights.
- Sales Enablement: Work with the other teams to provide the sales team with the tools and training needed to effectively sell our products. Create sales collateral, conduct training sessions, and support sales efforts with key information.
- Performance Metrics: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product marketing efforts. Use data to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies and make informed decisions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the VP of Marketing and local market leads to ensure cohesive strategies and effective execution.
- Market Insights: Provide insights and feedback on UK market trends, audience behavior, and competitive landscape to inform strategy adjustments.
- Content Creation: In collaboration with colleagues in the wider marketing department, develop high-quality marketing materials, including product brochures, sales presentations, website content, blog posts, case studies, and social media content.
