The Division of Medicine & Integrated Care seeks a knowledgeable, resilient and resourceful NHS elective pathway specialist with solid information management and data processing skills. We aim to recruit a person whose behaviours are led by genuine enthusiasm and a sense of professional curiosity to play their part in ensuring equity of access for every patient on an elective care pathway.
The Performance Lead is the Division’s go-to person for all issues relating to RTT validation and performance, through the elective care group they provide a comprehensive overview of elective care performance across a range of performance measures. They guide, oversee and assess RTT validation activities carried out on behalf of the Division of Medicine & Integrated Care.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent knowledge of RTT pathway validation and management, and with first-hand experience of data manipulation and analysis. The role requires a clear communicator with people management experience, and one who is interested in working closely with operational and clinical teams to support both Divisional and Trust objectives.
You will work in collaboration with colleagues from across the organisation, identifying opportunities for shared learning to support and motivate others to achieve excellent results. In this role you will champion best practice and promote a holistic approach to co-ordinating people, systems and processes. You will already have a thorough understanding of data captured through NHS clinical systems, and you will have demonstrable ability to extract and present management information in a clear and concise way.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and an understanding of database management principles are essential. Well-developed analytical and effective communication skills are also required to ensure the presentation and flow of accurate and meaningful information to support operational and clinical prioritisation and decision making. In this role you will lead validation supervisors and quality assure the work of a team of pathway co-ordinators.
