Performance Test Engineer, Sr Level 1

Right now, we are looking for a Performance Test Engineer to join our Quality Engineering Studio. This role provides a comprehensive suite of innovative and robust testing services that ensure high-quality products to meet the needs of demanding, technology-avid users, supported by top Performance tools and CI-CD processes and a 360° view.

You will get the chance to:

• Develop and manage performance and load tests using K6 or other technologies like JMeter.
• Execute distributed tests using AWS ECR and Apache Taurus.
• Analyze test data to define new use cases that simulate user behavior and implement them as K6 tests.
• Analyze data through Grafana, Splunk, logs, and other tools provided by AWS and MongoAtlas to identify issues and open detailed tickets.
• Create Grafana and Splunk dashboards to monitor platform performance and extract insights related to CPU, memory, garbage collector, network, database connections, request rates, response times, etc.
• Be responsible for the implementation of observability using OpenTelemetry and Splunk.
• Produce reports to share progress with management and align with defined OKRs.

• In order to best fulfill your role, we would like you to have expertise, varying depending on seniority, in:
• Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., K6, JMeter).
• Good knowledge of REST APIs, networking fundamentals, and HTTP protocol.
• Good understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL databases, as well as the ability to write queries.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS).
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, OpenTelemetry).
• Good level of English.
