COMPETENCES

You will have high level administrative experience and candidates with experience outside a legal environment will be considered. You will be organised and proactive. You will be comfortable using the standard Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and be able to adapt to specialist case management systems.
The job is for three days per week in the office. Days to be agreed at interview.

Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY & PURPOSE

We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven PA and administrator to assist and support Paul Read (Head of Department) and Sarah Inchley (Partner). You will perform a key role assisting those who manage one of the country’s leading family law departments within one of the country’s leading law firms – recently awarded “Best places to work 2024” by The Times.
The family law department at TV Edwards provides specialist family advice on a wide range of family issues including international child abduction, divorce, modern families and cases involving children and their local authorities. You will need to be caring and attuned to the emotional and professional environment in which we operate.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Producing a regular departmental update email
  • Diary management – internal and client facing
  • Arranging departmental meetings and preparing accompanying slides and hand outs
  • Obtaining file reviews and supervision forms and storing for ready retrieval
  • Booking courses and seminars for the team – to include travel on occasions
  • Liaising with the team in respect of training needs (including courses & seminars)
  • Calendar management of team
  • Retrieving data and reports from the firm’s case management system on request
  • Planning for the movement of paralegals and trainee solicitors
  • Such other duties as may be required from time to time
