Dwight School Dubai is looking to hire a Personal Assistant to the SLT.

Employment Type: Fulltime
Working hours: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday; 7:30 am to 12:00 pm Friday.
Job Purpose:
To carry out professional administrative duties for the Head of School, Head of Lower School, Head of Upper School, and Director of Operations.
Role and Responsibilities

Personal Assistant:

  • Manage diaries/calendars and organize meetings and appointments.
  • Proactively managing school calendar, events, and workflow including telephone calls, messages, emails, redirections, and correspondences.
  • Typing/compiling/preparing/editing/proofreading/distributing letters, presentations, reports, and other relevant documents including the weekly Parent Bulletin and half-termly Lower & Upper School Division Newsletters.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and confidential meeting minutes, as required, including those for the governance and school consultative groups.
  • Organize itineraries and arrange travel, transport, and accommodation as required.
  • Implementing and maintaining administrative and record-keeping procedures and systems.

Professional duties and responsibilities:

  • Undertake relevant training and professional development related to the role.
  • Support school events and activities.
  • Ensuring collaboration and support for all stakeholders.
  • Consistently demonstrate professionalism and high professional standards.
  • Actively participate in the professional (Dwight) community.
  • Any other reasonable duties and additional work hours assigned by the Head of School.

Successful Applicant should possess criteria such as…

  • Able to communicate clearly on the phone and in person professionally and courteously.
  • Highly developed written and IT skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Well-organized with the ability to prioritize competing demands calmly.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships, be discreet, and always maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience working in an office/school environment.
