We are looking for a committed Care Worker to provide support in a very rural location for two brothers within the family home and out in the community. Both boys have a diagnosis of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and require support with the following tasks:

64 HOURS (APPROX. 16 HOURS PER WEEK) WITHIN A 4-WEEK PERIOD TO BE USED FLEXIBLY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE FAMILY, MORNING/EVENING AND WEEKEND SUPPORT REQUIRED.

Rates of pay:
£16.41 per hour. 5.6 weeks holiday (pro rata)
Out of pocket expenses will be met by the Employer. This post is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and references (Cost to be met by Employer).

A SUMMARY OF THE MAIN DUTIES:

• To support both boys individually to access age appropriate activities both at home and in the wider community
• To provide support to the family through carers relief for parents
• To build a relationship with the client understanding their nature and communication skills
• To provide support with personal care as and when required.
• To ensure the boys are kept safe from all risks and dangers
