Responsibilities

The personal injury legal assistant is responsible for the day to day management of the case files. The responsibilities are as follows:

• Identify treatment needs and send clients for treatment
• Keep the case managers up to date with treatment so that the client does not
• over treat based upon the impact
• Call each client at least once every two weeks
• Identify problem clients and bring to the attention of the case manager or attorney at the earliest possible moment
• Withdraw from cases with unresponsive or uncooperative clients
• Provide interpretation/translation services for the attorney
• Prepare file to be sent to the demand write when the file is complete
• Accountable for the text line with each individual case
• Identify health insurance issues and address as early in the case as possible

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1+ year of Personal Injury experience (preferred).
• College degree (bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience)
• Must be organized and capable of hand

Desired Outcomes:
A successful personal injury assistant will be able to manage 100 case with the help of the case manager. The employee will make all 2-week calls, properly manage the treatment plan and have the file ready for the demand writer as soon as treatment is complete
