Description:
We are seeking a Personal Injury Paralegal to join our client at their Trenton, NJ office. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the legal industry. As a Personal Injury Paralegal, you will be responsible for managing personal injury cases from start to finish, maintaining diligent client communication, and utilizing your experience with various legal software to ensure smooth case progression.
Responsibilities:
- Handle personal injury cases from intake to settlement or trial preparation
- Maintain regular client communication to update on case status
- Utilize legal software for case management, including Aderant and Adobe Acrobat
- Use the Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) for relevant case information
- Manage billing functions and maintain organized financial records
- Prepare legal briefs and assist in the briefing process
- Manage the attorney’s calendar and schedule appointments or court dates as required
- Administer claims and ensure all necessary claim documents are correctly filed
- Leverage excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, attorneys, and court officials
- Use your knowledge of personal injury plaintiffs and litigation to contribute to case strategy.
- Proficiency in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), and Case Management Software.
- Experience with CompuLaw is essential.
- Ability to handle Billing Functions effectively.
- Excellent Briefing and Calendar Management skills.
- Experience in Claim Administration.
- Strong Communication skills.
- Previous experience working with Personal Injury Plaintiffs.
- Familiarity with Litigation - Plaintiff.
