The Opportunity
As a Personal Lines Assist Specialist, Compliance and Training in Personal Lines Operations you will provide exceptional training, compliance and operational support for the Personal Lines team. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a strong attention to detail to join our Burnaby Still Creek location in a Regular Full-Time position.
Our Burnaby Still Creek head office location is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park near Brentwood Town Centre. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.
The Responsibilities
Providing ongoing support to the various personal insurance business units including:
Develop, maintain, and deliver Personal Lines technical training content.
Collaborate with personal insurance management and front-line employees to identify opportunities to improve all aspects of personal insurance such as workflows, implement new business processes and best practices.
Manage our internal government auto audit and general PL quality assurance processes, documentation, and procedures.
Conduct in-person government auto insurance, broker standards and general procedural audits, identify any issues, prepare, and distribute audit finding reports, and recommend any corrective action required.
Perform audits as required (e.g. annual habitational broker standards) and communicate results & recommendations.
Travel to all offices to conduct training and in-person audits.
Collaborate with PL management and other subject matter experts to create, maintain, and store HUB’s PL information including guidelines, carrier changes, procedures, best practices, sales aids, and communications.
Communicate business changes to front-line employees including sales, training, efficiencies, systems, etc, working with HUB Coastal Ops team.
Other duties as assigned.
The Requirements
5+ years experience in a variety of Personal Lines roles including a deep understanding of ICBC policies, sales, and administrative procedures.
Level 2 General Insurance License
Experience working with a variety of Carrier Portals (ICBC, Auto & Residential) and EPIC
Good communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Experience and passion in training & compliance.
Strong technical insurance knowledge of coverages.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
Works well in a fast paced environment.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge in MS Office, with focus on Excel and Word.
Must have access to personal vehicle for business use.

ASSET EXPERIENCE THAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

CAIB, CIP, FCIP, CRM or other industry designations considered an asset.

You work with a high degree of INTEGRITY and ACCOUNTABILITY The expected salary range for this position is $50,000 - $75,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
