Personal Lines Manager - (Existing & New Business)
The Company:
Power Insurances is a family run business in operation since 1957. We operate from our offices in Limerick city. We operate both a business for local families and businesses and a national commercial and personal lines business (through our Non standard and EV insurance brands). We pride ourselves in a high level of customer service (we were awarded the personal lines broker of the year at the broker expert awards in 2023) and have a very professional personal lines team.
The Role:
We are looking for a personal lines manager that can manage the personal lines department (car, property, CV policies. New business and renewals). If you have a positive and can do attitude and would like to work with an award winning team in a supportive and customer centric environment, read on:
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Manage and motivate team members (circa 10 on the team)
- Conduct performance reviews and provide development opportunities
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture
- Help the team to find efficiencies in their work and constantly look at revising the way we do things.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensure efficient workflow and ensure all quotations and client requests are managed in an efficient manner.
- Monitor team performance and identify areas for improvement
- Offer regular reports and ensure we are meeting our growth targets.
- Implement new processes and procedures to drive efficiency
- Be technically astute so you keep up to date with any technologies that can help the team and organise training to translate your information to the team.
- Manage the teams holiday allowance and have knowledge and deal with any HR issues.
- Work out the ongoing staffing needs of the business and help in recruiting staff needed for the business.
- Design and implement training for existing staff and new entrants to the business.
Customer Focus:
- Prioritize customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly
- Drive a customer-centric approach within the team
- Embrace digital transformation and leverage technology to enhance customer experience
- Build on our reputation as a customer driven company and find ways to improve.
- Be aware of new technologies and systems that can help the team and business.
Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies
- In conjunction with our team administrator ensure regular file audits are in place and registers are kept up to date.
- Ensure customer issues are handled promptly
Requirements:
- Proven experience in team leadership and people management
- Strong understanding of the insurance industry, particularly Personal Lines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to change and embrace new technologies
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Awareness of how new business is generated and work with others in the company to build a new business and policy retention system.
- CIP qualification and preferably a BA.
- The successful candidate will have to be approved by the CBI.
The Offer:
