Personal Support Worker (PSW)

Our office is located in Winnipeg, MB. We are looking for a competent Home Support Worker to care for our client/s in a professional and compassionate manner. It is often a demanding job, but it can also be very satisfying and rewarding, since people who are ill, injured, disabled or elderly are thankful for high-quality assistance.
The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help the client/s.

REQUIREMENTS (NO OLDER THAN THREE (3) MONTHS):

• Criminal Record Check
• Child and Adult Abuse Registry Checks
• Standard CPR-C and First Aid Training Certificate
• CPI Non Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate
• Valid Driver’s License and Vehicle
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
  Job Type: Full-time
  Pay: $15.80 per hour
  Expected hours: 8 per week

Experience:

• Companion/Home Support Worker: 1 year (required)

• Provide care and companionship for the client/s
• Accompany client/s to grocery, medical, or physical therapy appointments
• Administer bedside and personal care to client/s such as aid in ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing and undressing
• Plan and prepare meals and special diets, and feed or assist in feeding client/s
• May perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds.

  Experience: 1 year experience is an asset. Health care education is an asset.
