JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of medication, care, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality support in an Independent Living Facility

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred, particularly in senior care, hospice care, or home care settings.
  • Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help
  • Must be able to pass background checks as required by the organization. Psw diploma required

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with medication and daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
  • Help with meal escorts to ensure proper nutrition for clients.
  • Administer basic patient care under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
  • Engage clients in activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
  • Document client progress and report any changes in condition to appropriate personnel.
