JOB SUMMARY

Homecare Support.
The Support Worker plays a crucial role in providing compassionate care and assistance to individuals with varying needs, including those living with disabilities, dementia, or requiring support in home care settings. SKILLS

• Strong caregiving skills with experience in home care or assisted living environments.
• Knowledge of working with persons with disabilities and experience in dementia care.
• Familiarity with hospice care practices and nursing home settings is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while assisting clients.
• Proficient in medication administration protocols and understanding of senior care needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and families.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support clients with daily living activities and promote their independence.
• Assist with medication administration as required and ensure adherence to prescribed schedules.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that enhance their physical and emotional well-being.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and progress.
• Document client care activities accurately and timely in accordance with organizational policies.
• Assist clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients during challenging times.
