Description:
THIS IS A 12-MONTH LIMITED-TERM POSITION THAT MAY BE EXTENDED, BECOME PERMANENT, OR BE TERMINATED AT ANY TIME.
Under supervision of the Human Resources Operations Supervisor, the Personnel Specialist (PS) performs various transaction related duties utilizing the Department of Human Resources (Cal HR), Benefits Administration Manual (BAM), State Controller’s Office (SCO), Payroll Procedures Manual (PPM) and Personnel Action Manual (PAM), in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, bargaining contracts and control agencies. The incumbent will serve as the departments Attendance Clerk and Benefits Coordinator. The PS is responsible for processing appointments, separations, payroll and benefits for Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety employees and related personnel transactions functions. All duties require effective communication and excellent customer services with internal staff, employees and control agencies.
This position is remote-centered and is eligible for telework up to 5 days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. A teleworker is considered remote-centered if they work fifty percent or more of their time from an alternate work location. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
