Pet Care Technician - Care for our Canine Guests (Full & Part-time)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be comfortable working around and with dogs of all sizes and breeds
• Ability to lift 30 lbs (supplies or small dogs)
• Complete K9 Resorts training and certification prior to working alone
• Agree to submit to a Background Check
• Comfortable in busy and occasional loud environment
• Able to multi-task (ex. Answer phone, check in a dog, collect payments, greet clients)
• Excellent Customer Service Personality – friendly, enjoys working with people & dogs
• Ability to problem solve, redirect dogs, recognize behaviors, encourage safe and friendly play among dog clients, stay calm during periods of high activity

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ years’ experience in a Customer Service or Hospitality Position
• Knowledge of dogs preferred. Dog ownership a plus.

This position is responsible for working with dogs including cleaning, feeding, bathing, moving and caring for them throughout the day.

• Assist with dog ‘body checks’ for health and wellness upon check-in and check-out
• Monitoring dogs in daycare as an attendant (1 hour shifts)
• Maintaining a safe, calm daycare environment
• Redirecting dogs to encourage safe and friendly play
• Light interaction or gentle play with dogs in daycare
• Feeding/watering dogs, bathing dogs
• Moving dogs between daycare and accommodations, bathing room, lobby
• Cleaning up accidents in lobby, dog areas, hallways, etc.
• Cleaning and disinfecting dog accommodations (beginning and end of day) , bowls, floors, walls
• Personal playtime attendant
