Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Science-related discipline
- 8-10 years of field experience with comprehensive knowledge of OGC inspection activities and standard procedures.
- Proficient in computer skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, effectively working with management and clients at all levels.
- IFIA certification is preferred
Responsibilities:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee client, terminal, agent, and laboratory coordination for Q+Q inspection activities, ensuring adherence to nomination and inspection requirements. Distribute assignments to field inspectors as appropriate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of industry practices, standards, and procedures related to inspection activities.
- Conduct thorough nomination order reviews, assess capabilities, and communicate limitations or terminal/port restrictions to clients, securing their confirmation before proceeding with inspections.
- Provide timely updates on any deviations, issues, or anomalies during inspections and conduct investigation for any irregularities and communicate findings to clients.
- Assign inspectors with clear instructions, ensuring their comprehension of inspection requirements.
- Monitor ongoing operations, ensuring field inspectors adhere to SGS safety guidelines, local and international safety standards, and SGS operating procedures.
- Review and verify field documentation upon receipt, ensuring timely submission to clients.
- Collaborate with administrative staff to prepare final inspection reports and invoices.
- Review draft reports and invoices for accuracy prior to client submission.
- Train field staff as needed to enhance their skills and align with client requirements.
- Report non-conformances to appropriate line managers and take necessary corrective actions.
- Maintain up-to-date calibration records for operational equipment.
- Intervene in the presence of unsafe conditions and conduct risk assessments as needed.
- Prepare and send client quotations in consultation with line managers when required.
- Ensure proper housekeeping of facilities such as warehouses, sample storage areas, equipment stores, and disposal areas, adhering to safety protocols.
- Take responsibility for all QHSE aspects under their control, adhering to the organization’s OIMS requirements. Uphold the highest ethical standards in accordance with the SGS Code of Integrity.
