What you will do:
PGIM’s Real Estate and Private Equity businesses are seeking a senior compliance professional knowledgeable in alternative asset classes, private funds, and investment advisory issues to oversee a full range of compliance matters that arise in connection with their asset management activities in the United Kingdom. Based in Central London, the position will be part of a larger global compliance team, supporting PGIM’s various businesses. This position has significant visibility with senior management and direct interaction with global portfolio management, distribution, and operations.
What you can expect:
- Work within the region to expand and develop the firm’s financial crime programme.
- Conduct due diligence of clients, counterparties, potential joint venture partners and other relevant constituents for purposes of general know-your-client, anti-money-laundering and anti-corruption requirements.
- Provide support and advice to the business and to compliance colleagues on all regulatory matters. Incorporate regulatory or corporate changes into guidance for the business and support the enforcement of all policies applicable to the business.
- Collect and collate information required for senior management reporting.
- Protect the integrity and reputation of the Company and develop a positive compliance culture.
You will report into the European Head of Compliance, PGIM Private Alternatives and will form part of a wider team that covers the region, working closely with colleagues in other global locations.
What you will bring:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience of working in a related capacity for a financial services company, preferably in compliance, law, risk, audit, or a similar control function and preferably with real estate or other comparable private equity fund exposure.
- Experience of European financial regulation and markets and a genuine interest in global compliance concerns.
- Proven ability to work effectively and commercially with business stakeholders whilst ensuring an effective compliance culture.
What will set you apart:
- Experience in, and a good understanding of, real estate/alternative asset classes and/or private fund structures.
- Good knowledge of relevant UK and European laws, familiarity with SEC requirements is advantageous.
- Self-starter and strong team player who is inquisitive and self-motivated.
- Detail-orientated, able to set priorities and complete simultaneous projects.
- Strong academic background: relevant degree level qualification.
