Job Role: Pharmacist
Job openings for a Pharmacist whi will be responsible for dispensing prescription medication and advising patients. Other duties entail managing the inventory, and ensuring the safe storage of prescription drugs and controlled substances.
Job descriptions
§ Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
§ Provide medication counseling and education to patients.
§ Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information.
§ Collaborate with Healthcare professionals to optimize patient’s care.
§ Manage inventory and ensure the activity of pharmaceutical products.
§ Review over-the-counter (OTC) and medical prescriptions to ensure they are suitable for a patient
§ Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations and ethical standards.
$ Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
$ Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment
Requirements:
§ A degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution and a valid license to practice as a pharmacist with 2-5 years experience, preferably in a hospital/clinical settings.
§ Compulsory completion of NYSC.
$ Membership of relevant professional bodies as the pharmaceutical society of Nigeria.
§ Knowledge of pharmaceutical laws and regulations.
$ Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical and drug therapies.
§ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and other members of the healthcare team.
§ Ability to work independently while upholding ethical and legal pharmacy practices
§ Basic computer skills and knowledge of pharmacy software’s systems.
$Good attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medication.
$Ability to work effective in a fast-paced environment.
$Ability to maintain confidentiality.
