Description:
Innovative independent pharmacy looking for a self-motivated, energetic, registered pharmacist with good attention to detail, great communication skills and strong team ability.
We are accepting applications for a full-time pharmacist (40+ hrs/wk) working within the hours of 8:30-5:30 mon-fri and 11-4 Saturdays. Closed Sundays and all stat holidays. Above average wage based on experience and a percentage of clinical billings. Full paid benefits after 3 months. License and insurance paid for as well.
Crestwood Apothecary is a dynamic and busy practice with a positive and collaborative work environment. The position would be practicing as part of our patient focused team of four full time pharmacists providing Patient services including:
- Pharmacist as point of contact for patients and managing patient care.
- Administration of injections (vaccines, therapeutics, hormones, etc.).
- Medication dispensing, extensions, and patient assessments.
- Filling of compounded prescriptions and compound consulting (as skills allow).
- APA opportunities in therapy management, minor ailments, and travel medicine.
- Practicing with our support team of seven licensed technicians.
- Some work with practicum PharmD students as we are a placement site for UofA.
QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED):
- Applicant is currently licensed with the Alberta College of Pharmacy as a clinical pharmacist
- Additional Prescribing Authority (APA) (or in process of registering)
- Authorization to administer injections including vaccines and other therapies
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced practice and work within a collaborative team environment
- Practical customer-focused verbal communication and problem-solving skills are essential
OPTIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Compounding experience would be helpful, but also can be learned
- Five or more years of patient facing care in a community setting
