SUMMARY

Responsible to Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital for supporting the corporate mission, vision and values. Responsible to Pharmacy for assuring that the drug therapy needs of the patient are met. Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service.
Salary Range: $115,000 – $130,000

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required.
• Requires one year’s experience on this or related jobs in a hospital or healthcare facility to develop the judgment necessary to make appropriate decisions and to handle emergency situations.
• Current Ohio license as a pharmacist by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy required.
• Current registration as a pharmacist by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy required.

• Provides pharmacy services to optimize pharmaceutical care. Provides drug information to patients/health care professionals.
• Exercises applicable legal and professional controls for controlled substances maintained/dispensed. Meets administrative requirements of the department.
• Acts as Responsible Pharmacist by maintaining OSBP and DEA Licenses in his/her name.
• Completes Performance Appraisals on time based on policy. Maintains the Department performance improvement program.
• Maintains Pharmacy Inventory (purchasing and procurement). Recommends operating and capital budgets and monitors allocation of resources.
• Schedules Staff Pharmacists and Certified Pharmacy Technicians. Checks express cart logs for expired cards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
