Description:
DETAILS
- Department: Pharmacy
- Schedule: Days; Monday - Friday; 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent’s Birmingham - Downtown
- Location: Birmingham, AL
Must have an active pharmacy technician license in good standing with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy.
REQUIREMENTS
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Alabama Board of Pharmacy obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Responsibilities:
Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist.
- Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
- Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department.
- Repackage bulk medications.
- Receive and store incoming supplies.
- Serve as liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professional by providing information as necessary.
