The firm focuses on biotechnology and healthcare, future food and agriculture, climate and clean energy. With over NZD 100 million in funds under management, Pacific Channel has backed more than 50 ventures, driving innovation in these critical fields.
We are now looking for a Pharmacy and healthcare research project manager focussed especially on natural product innovation to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position, and you are required to work 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday principally within the hours of 09:00 to 17:30.
Responsibilities:
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifying, developing and analysing potential new portfolio companies within the field
- Determining, implementing and monitoring research and development strategies and plans both for Pacific Channel and its current and potential portfolio companies
- Developing and implementing research projects, priorities and targets to support commercial market entry and co-investment objectives
- Leading major research projects and coordinating activities of other research workers
- Assessing the benefits and monitoring the costs and effectiveness of research and development activities
- Interpreting results of research projects and recommending associated product and service development innovations
- Providing advice on research and development options available to the organisation
- Monitoring leading-edge developments in relevant disciplines and assessing implications for the organisation
- Identifying unmet market problems and needs that can inform new areas for technology and product development solutions
- Providing advice on research and development options available to the organisation
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU WILL NEED:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field OR at least of three years of management experience in the pharmacy or healthcare industry
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Multitasking ability
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work within the Microsoft Office suite, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
