Looking for a change? CareRx is expanding and actively looking for a qualified Pharmacy Manager to join our team in Regina at our quiet location servicing an established community and senior homes. We emphasize a patient-first approach, prioritize the well-being of our community and practice to the full scope. We would like to have our Pharmacy Manager in place by January 1, 2025.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with Kroll is an asset
- Self-directed and able to work independently
- Ability to work well in a team environment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Registration and in good standing with Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals
- Eligibility for application to be a pharmacy manager with Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals
- Certificate of Injection for Drug Administration

Responsibilities:
PATIENT FOCUSED CARE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy and actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement. The Pharmacist will play a key role in achieving departmental excellence in patient-focused care, customer service and workflow efficiencies.
- Focus on clinical services (i.e., medication reviews, disease state management)
- Initiate care plans, follow up and document
- Administer vaccines
- Determine appropriateness of drug therapy
- Monitor medication adherence
- Collect and document relevant patient, drug, and disease information
- Recommend OTC products and vitamins
- Answer questions from patients that require therapeutic knowledge, clinical analysis, or assessment
- Supervise a pharmacy student or a provisional pharmacist in the performance of restricted activities
- Other duties as required
PHARMACY FOCUSED RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage pharmacy operations, company-wide SOPs, Lean processes, best practices, KPIs etc.
- Ensure disciplined execution of customer requirements
- Maintain compliance with audit and regulatory requirements (e.g. Health Canada audits, narcotic controls)
- Effectively manage high- pressure situation with employee and customers
- Balance the needs of the customer, employee and business operations
- Resolve conflicts and disputes as needed
- Leads the prescription fulfillment, packaging and verification department:
- Manage weekly prescription batch schedule
- Optimize robotic packagers and optical verification machines
- Uses analytics and metrics to improve production efficiency
- Investigate and address production/correction/verification related incidents
