Looking for a change? CareRx is expanding and actively looking for a qualified Pharmacy Manager to join our team in Regina at our quiet location servicing an established community and senior homes. We emphasize a patient-first approach, prioritize the well-being of our community and practice to the full scope. We seek candidates who are enthusiastic about contributing to our growth and share our commitment to patient care across a diverse practice range.
We would like to have our Pharmacy Manager in place by January 1, 2025.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience with Kroll is an asset
• Self-directed and able to work independently
• Ability to work well in a team environment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Registration and in good standing with Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals
• Eligibility for application to be a pharmacy manager with Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals
• Certificate of Injection for Drug Administration

PATIENT FOCUSED CARE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy and actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement. The Pharmacist will play a key role in achieving departmental excellence in patient-focused care, customer service and workflow efficiencies.

• Focus on clinical services (i.e., medication reviews, disease state management)
• Initiate care plans, follow up and document
• Administer vaccines
• Determine appropriateness of drug therapy
• Monitor medication adherence
• Collect and document relevant patient, drug, and disease information
• Recommend OTC products and vitamins
• Answer questions from patients that require therapeutic knowledge, clinical analysis, or assessment
• Supervise a pharmacy student or a provisional pharmacist in the performance of restricted activities
• Other duties as required

PHARMACY FOCUSED RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage pharmacy operations, company-wide SOPs, Lean processes, best practices, KPIs etc.
• Ensure disciplined execution of customer requirements
• Maintain compliance with audit and regulatory requirements (e.g. Health Canada audits, narcotic controls)
• Effectively manage high- pressure situation with employee and customers
• Balance the needs of the customer, employee and business operations
• Resolve conflicts and disputes as needed
• Leads the prescription fulfillment, packaging and verification department:

• Optimize robotic packagers and optical verification machines
• Uses analytics and metrics to improve production efficiency
• Investigate and address production/correction/verification related incidents
