We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Dispensary Manager to lead our dynamic team. Overview: This candidate must be mentally strong, disciplined, flexible and honourable. The candidate will need to be a natural leader and work well under pressure whilst taking accountability for the entire dispensary. The candidate needs to embrace the company philosophy of professional service, customer intimacy and operational excellence. We pride ourselves in giving our customers a Gold standard of service. The candidate will ultimately take responsibility for the efficient operation of our 24-hour dispensary which includes staffing, stock management, profitability, ethical compliance and will need to integrate with all other departments and services offered in store.
EXPERIENCE:
Essential: Minimum 2 years’ experience post community service year
Essential: Minimum 5 year People Management experience
Essential: Registration as Responsible Pharmacist with SAPC
Desirable: Retail Pharmacy experience
Desirable: Unisolve experience
EDUCATION:
- Essential: Registered Pharmacist with SAPC
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a dispensary or pharmacy management role.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of basic finances and data interpretation
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices in pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities:
- Staff Management:
- Oversee a diverse team of pharmacists, technicians, and support staff, ensuring optimal performance and professional development.
- Managing a 24/7 staffing roster
- Need to see the bigger picture of the business and be open to explore opportunities.
- Oversee the blister packing centre and the team
- Foster a collaborative and positive workplace culture that aligns with our mission and values.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning throughout the dispensary
- Operations Oversight:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the dispensary, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Oversee 50 dispensary staff including professional staff and support staff to drive productivity, efficiency and excellent customer service
- Optimize workflow processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and manage procurement of pharmaceutical products.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor budget and control costs to maximize profitability while maintaining quality service.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Customer Service Excellence:
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met by all staff members.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the overall vision of the business.
- Evaluate operational performance and suggest areas for improvement.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement and uphold standards for safety, accuracy, and compliance in all dispensary activities.
- Regularly review and update policies and procedures to ensure adherence to best practices.
