JOB SPECIFICATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- License to practice in the province seeking employment
- Strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Strong leadership skills.
- Computer proficiency. Hands on Experience with Kroll.
- A bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from a Canadian University.
- To complete a national board examination through the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada.
- Practical experience through an apprenticeship or an internship program.
- Should be registered with Alberta College of Pharmacists.
- Train in the principles of good pharmaceutical care, including patient counselling and care.
- Understand all healthcare and pharmacy laws governing pharmaceuticals, pharmacists’ roles and pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities:
- Act as the pharmacy licensee for SRx pharmacy and all responsibilities that encompass that role
- Responsible for staffing and operations at the SRx Pharmacy
- Maintaining standards of operations (SOP documentation) of SRx Pharmacy
- Following legislation for manager/licensees as required by the Alberta College of Pharmacy
- Act as the proprietor’s representative (if required) and follow all legislation that encompasses that role
- Ensuring the physical environment of the pharmacy adheres to college standards
- Ensure the pharmacy operates in accordance with legislation
- Responsible for documentation and applications related to SRx Pharmacy of your location
- Ensure staff are acting in accordance with the provincial pharmacy college guidelines
- Manage Store budget and invoices
- Ensure Administrative responsibilities for the store
- Providing exceptional patient-centered care.
- Maintain good standing with the College of Pharmacy and an updated CPR certification
- Maintaining a professional setting for retail and community outreach pharmacy
- Maintaining a compassionate environment and supporting patients
- Maintaining and protecting patient confidentiality
- Maintaining a professional and collaborative relationship among health care professionals; responding to requests, building rapport
- Contributing to team effort and corporate goals
- Perform clinical and drug distribution responsibilities as required.
