Description:

DESCRIPTION

Support and assist in the coordination of Pharmacy Services activities including preparation of sterile compounds both hazardous and non-hazardous using aseptic technique, compounding pharmacy maintenance and scheduled cleanings, inventory management of drugs and infusion supplies, ordering, stocking and receiving of medications and supplies, processes specialty orders, and maintains and stocks automated dispensing machine (ADM) where applicable.

Required Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED.
  • Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician upon hire. Or,
  • Oregon Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
  • 3 years - Minimum of 3 years (> 6240 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system or sterile compounding experience and PTCB certification - OR - 4 years (> 8320 hours) experience if technician does not have PTCB certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training - Pharmacy technician program
  • Coursework/Training - Sterile compounding (and hazardous drug) coursework.
  • PTCB preferred (may be required where applicable by state) upon hire.
  • PTCB certificate in Hazardous Drug Management preferred upon hire.
  • Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) preferred where applicable by role and state upon hire.
  • Oncology experience, hospital work experience base.
