The Role
Join our dynamic team as a Pharmacy Sales Assistant at the new Brennans Pharmacy in the New Dunnes Retail Park in Letterkenny for maternity cover from December 2024 to September 2025. There may be further opportunities within Brennans after the maternity contract. This exciting role not only offers the opportunity to be an integral part of our community-focused pharmacy and also the chance to work occasionally with our network of pharmacies across Donegal. Responsibilities:

Committed to providing excellent care for our customers in line with Brennans service guidelines
Helping our customers and patients live their lives at their healthiest so they can feel and look their best.
Greeting customers, managing daily transactions and responding to customer enquiries
Housekeeping duties
Advising our customers and patients on the best products and services to meet their needs.
Cash management duties
Adhere to company standards, procedures and policies
Merchandising and assisting with Marketing
Support your colleagues working elsewhere in the branch and the group as needed
Support our pharmacists and dispensary teams in the preparation of prescriptions and assembly of blister packs and labelling medication.
Skills and Experience
Strong organisational skills, with the flexibility to prioritise and complete multiple tasks in a fast paced setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent customer service and sales skills
Friendly and approachable with a positive attitude
Enjoys working as part of a team
Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays, when required (fair rota allocation)
Availability for the required hours, working minimum of 4 days out of 6 days per week
Strongly aligned with our Brennan’s values
Previous experience in pharmacy or a retail setting desirable but not essential
Minimum of 1 years experience in a customer facing role
Proficient computer skills
Minimum leaving cert or equivalent
Fluency in English
Full training will be provided
