ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and experienced hospital pharmacist to lead the Emergency Medicine Pharmacy service and support a team of pharmacists across two sites.
Working across the Emergency Medicine Departments at Monash Medical Centre and the Victorian Heart Hospital, the Emergency Medicine Pharmacy team provide innovative and patient-centred care. The team work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical pharmacy services, including participation in Sepsis and Resuscitation calls
Monash Health has Emergency Medicine Departments across five sites, making the service one of the largest in Australia. Last year 260,650 patients were treated in our service. There are three Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Teams: Monash Medical Centre/Victorian Heart Hospital, Casey Hospital and Dandenong Hospital.
In this important role you will:
- Support, guide and work alongside your team members to provide a consistently safe, high quality, efficient and effective service
- Coordinate daily workflow, staffing and priorities
- Support the training of pharmacy staff and students, with assistance from our team of Clinical Educators
- Ensure relevant key performance targets are met or exceeded
- Participate in research and quality improvement activitie
