REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following required:
  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed. Must possess all state and local qualifications.
  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Must possess all state and local qualifications. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities:

Perform activities or tasks in specialty pharmacy services providing customer service communication and data entry in a call center setting. Perform specialized areas as medicine history, buyer and other inventory related areas, nuclear, and PAP as a pharmacy technician.

  • Communicate with patients, staff, pharmacy, and health professionals by email, chat and phone.
  • Support patients with customer service pharmacy needs such as assisting with payment exceptions, refills and deliveries.
  • Serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing necessary information.
  • Assist with prior authorizations and financial assistance support.
  • Refill and maintain automated dispensing system.
  • Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the specialty pharmacy areas.
  • Repackage bulk medications.
  • Receive and store incoming supplies.
