ABOUT THE TEAM
Our Pharmacy Department at Dunedin Hospital is seeking a positive and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly and supportive team on a full-time, fixed-term basis.
The Pharmacy service provides a full clinical and operational service to Dunedin Hospital. We provide a wide range of clinical services encompassing both generalist and specialist skills so there is no better place to move your career forward. Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The role will include stock control, ward supply, in and out patient dispensing, non-sterile compounding, and assisting in the general day to day running of the dispensary.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
- Appropriate New Zealand recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification (or committed to completing the training)
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
- Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
- The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
- High levels of personal and professional integrity
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings
