Description:

At NorthBay Health the Pharmacy Technician III, Operations will perform technician functions and assist with day to day pharmacy operations including pharmacy QC activities, record keeping and pharmacy inventory management. Technician III assumes additional responsibilities or specialized shifts on a regular basis. The position requires assisting with drug dispensing as outlined in the Pharmacy Technician job description and functioning as a primary trainer for all pharmacy technicians and interns.

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Licensure: Registration as Pharmacy technician with the California State Board of Pharmacy is required.
  • Certification: National Pharmacy Technician Certification, or achieved within 6 months.
  • Experience: Three years of institutional Pharmacy Technician experience in all key areas with knowledge of the laws involved in hospital pharmacy practice.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must demonstrate competency in basic pharmaceutical calculations and critical thinking skill. Ability to type 25 wpm and have advanced computer experience including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel. Data analysis and knowledge of basic approaches to auditing.
