ABOUT THE ROLE
Mater Pharmacy South Brisbane currently has a new opportunity for a professional Pharmacy Purchasing Officer to join our Hospital Pharmacy Inventory Management Team on a permanent full-time basis, Monday to Friday. Relocation assistance may be available!
Mater Pharmacy is dedicated to the exceptional care and service of all our customers. We provide comprehensive pharmacy service and strive to maintain the highest level of professionalism in all our services. In addition to clinical pharmacy services, we provide traditional community pharmacy medicines and retail products to patients, visitors and staff.
Salary range: $34.02 - $40.56 (Operational Level 3-4) per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Purchasing of pharmaceuticals and services to maintain optimum pharmacy stock levels consistent with fast cycle turnaround and in accordance with pharmacy business policies
- Identifying sources of supply and develop and maintain positive supplier relationships for maximal outcomes to benefit Mater and its patients and business
- Ensuring accuracy of all purchase orders and follow up discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Assembling and delivering dispensed medications
- Expedite outstanding purchase orders and communicate these to customers in an appropriate timeframe
- Ensure effective communication with staff, departments and suppliers
- Contribute to the effective utilisation and development of computerised systems required to support a pharmaceutical supply chain consistent with national best practice
- Perform stock control duties to wards and other departments
- Providing responsive customer-focused service
