• Conducting field work in collecting ore samples (e.g. from Norwegian deposits) and archaeological and art historical materials (e.g. from museum collections),
• Characterize the mineralogical and geochemical composition of the ores sampled,
• Develop and use analytical protocols for the aforementioned analyses using SEM-EDX, LA-ICP-MS and MC-ICP-MS amongst other methods
• Synthesising results and using valid statistical approaches to draw new scientific and art historical conclusions about the production and distribution of Norwegian cobalt
