Description:
Your workplace
Our research group at the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) is dedicated to investigating the molecular mechanisms that control cell division in animal cells. We employ innovative methods and state-of-the-art technologies to study the processes of cytokinesis and the formation of the contractile actin-myosin ring. Our interdisciplinary team combines the model organisms C. elegans and human cell cultures to gain deeper insights into cell division. The research group offers a cutting-edge laboratory environment, access to first-class instruments, and a dynamic, international working atmosphere. We actively encourage participation in scientific conferences and collaboration with other research institutions worldwide. Our goal is to contribute to the advancement of understanding cell division and its disorders through groundbreaking research.
Our benefits
