Description:
The Centre for Quantum Mathematics (QM) at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (IMADA) invites applications for a three-year PhD position with a PhD project in Functions and Geometries in Feynman Integrals and Scattering Amplitudes. The targeted starting date for the position is 1 October 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate within the field of theoretical or mathematical physics. Applicants should have a solid background in quantum field theory and an affinity towards mathematics. Further background in Feynman integrals and algebraic geometry is beneficial, but not mandatory.
The successful candidates will be expected to have:
- An MSc degree in mathematical physics or theoretical physics – to be obtained before the start date (equivalent to a Danish master’s degree), with outstanding results
- Excellent writing and oral skills in English and ability to work independently.
As criteria for the assessment of your qualification’s, emphasis will also be laid on previous publications (if any) and relevant work experience.
