The Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology is a research hospital concentrating healthcare, research, and education of pediatric cancer in a single location in Utrecht. The institute aims to provide the highest level of care for all children with cancer and has the ambition to cure all children of cancer and improve quality of life. The center brings together the best possible care and scientific research, creating a unique interdisciplinary institute for pediatric oncology in Europe.

PROFILE

We are looking for an enthusiastic, curious PhD candidate with a background in (molecular) biology who is eager to learn, has good organizational skills and has experience with artificial intelligence. You are creative and think out-of-the box. You enjoy fundamental research, but are also driven to bring your research into clinical care. You work well in a dynamic environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in (molecular) biology
• Experience with artificial intelligence, preferably neural networks
• Experience in programming in python and/or R
• Demonstrated experience in research
• Interest in translational childhood cancer research
• You enjoy working in and contributing to a multidisciplinary team
