MEET YOUR MANAGER
In this role, you will be line managed by the US Director of Major Gifts (Allie Butkiewicz) and will collaborate with the communications team, Executive Director, and global development team.
Allie has spent the last fifteen years in the non-profit sector, and has championed the growth of fundraising teams cultivating over $10 million annually.
Main Duties
- Actively solicit, maintain and manage a personal portfolio of individual donors, foundation grantors and corporate grants to secure global unrestricted and restricted income targets
- Collaborate with the US Board of Directors, Executive Director and Director of Major Gifts to effectively steward and cultivate networks in Los Angeles, New York and across other key cities in the US
- Craft first-class stewardship content for prospective donors

- Demonstrated understanding of fundraising and working in the not-for-profit sector
- Database management experience in a donor management software such as Raisers Edge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, for example the creativity in writing by taking complex information and turning it into engaging and inspiring updates for our donors

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Philanthropy Officer will play a key role in raising over $800,000 in quarter four of 2024 and over $1.5M in from individual donors in the US (over $7m globally) in 2025, and an expected 15% year on year increase from then. The successful candidate will support in engaging ClientEarth’s donor prospects, be responsible for gift administration, and in delivering high quality donor stewardship at all stages of the donor journey.
