Description:
Competent with all aspects in the collection of blood samples from patients. Collection of blood samples from in-patients at Leighton Hospital. To perform phlebotomy on patients as per the standard operating procedure (SOP) for obtaining blood from patients. To refer any difficulties beyond those covered within the SOP to the Medical Team.
To be courteous to patients, relatives and carers. To have a manner that puts patients at ease. To help provide simple information as agreed that might be helpful to patients
