DESCRIPTION
Primary responsibility is to accurately identify patients, collect high quality blood specimens on inpatients, and deliver samples to the laboratory in a timely fashion.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Continuing Education Units; 6 units every 2 years.
- Phlebotomy courses from a California State approved School of Phlebotomy (see State Phlebotomy regulations).
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License upon hire, Or
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License upon hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
- Laboratory, medical office, or hospital experience.
