Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rate
Hours per week: 37 hours per week
Contract Length: Anticipated 6 months, until 15 June 2025
Location: London, full time onsite
We are seeking a Physical Security Assurance Lead to oversee and enhance security assurance across a range of sites, focusing on the physical security of buildings and the supply chain responsible for daily security operations. This role involves coordinating with all stakeholders to establish a unified, cohesive approach to security and incident management, ensuring all parties work together seamlessly.
The ideal candidate will have experience conducting security and compliance assessments or audits, along with a background in a multi-client service environment. Additionally, expertise in implementing corrective actions to address and mitigate physical security vulnerabilities is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provision of on-site advice regarding physical security matters including incident management investigations
- Carry out physical security assessments/inspections and security health checks across the estate and provide practical advice to client departments and stakeholders regarding vulnerabilities, near misses, risks and issues
- Identify effective corrective actions to remediate or mitigate physical security weaknesses
- Liaise directly with stakeholders, client departments and facilities management partners/suppliers to review security related documentation (this includes risk registers), to help them understand compliance obligations and delivery expectations, in line with HMG physical security policies/standards
- Design and deliver a program of supplier compliance audits and table top exercises.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experience in conducting security/compliance assessments/audits
- Experience of working in a multi-client service organisation
- Experience implementing effective corrective actions to remediate or mitigate physical security weaknesses
- Ability to interpret and understand business needs of clients in order to build positive relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to gain support for initiatives and to enable solution implementation
