Description:

DESCRIPTION

  • Lead and oversee new builds, system installations and system modifications from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, project timelines and alignment to installation standards.
  • Review security design plans for vulnerabilities and provide recommendations based on assessment and benchmarking to third-party integrators security equipment installation standards.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on Physical Security technology deployment based on an in-depth understanding of the environment, installation standards and physical security programs and processes.
  • Develop and maintain security equipment installation standards inclusive of intrusion systems & CCVE surveillance systems and accompanying equipment.
  • Develop and maintain our Physical Security monitoring/detection/response programs, in collaboration with third-party suppliers to meet program objectives and deliverables.
  • Utilize a comprehensive understanding of Physical Security systems and programs to provide effective challenge and oversight of third-party supplier activity as it relates to application of installation standards and implementation of physical security processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and modifications of Enterprise-Wide Physical Security polices and procedures.
  • Provide strategic input to the modifications of physical security equipment deployment guidelines.
  • Provide operational oversight of the deployment of Physical Security equipment and technologies.
  • Perform reviews of the program and understand industry trends, analyzing the impact and effectiveness of the program, providing insights, making recommendations for enhancements and implementing as required.
  • Perform reviews and collaborate with internal team partners to confirm compliance with standards, identify gaps or issues and lead initiatives to improve security posture and mitigate physical security risk.
  • Facilitate training, ongoing education, communication and awareness of physical security detection programs and security technology, including policy, principles and standards for various stakeholder groups to promote security awareness and understanding.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the business/group processes/procedures – Expert.
  • Knowledge of physical security practices – Expert.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety workplace requirements – Expert.
  • Knowledge of the operation / maintenance of building and physical security equipment – In-depth.
  • PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – Expert.
  • Project management/program management skills – Expert.
  • Knowledge of applicable risk and regulatory requirements and the impact on the business/group – Expert.
  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth / Expert.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth / Expert.
  • Influence skills - In-depth / Expert.
