JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

Responsible for assisting in conducting medically prescribed therapy treatments to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. Provides non-clinical support services to the therapist to include but not limited to maintaining patient treatment areas and basic clerical support. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

  • Responds to therapist’s requests for assistance in a timely manner.
  • Responds to patients’ requests for assistance, information and needs in a timely and empathetic manner.
  • Prepares equipment appropriately for patient and therapist use.
  • Assists in maintaining department clean and obstacle free.
  • Assists in maintaining all therapy equipment clean and in working order.
  • Reports unsafe equipment to supervisors.
  • Maintains appropriate temperature logs on monitored equipment e.g., hydro collator, paraffin bath, refrigerator, etc.
  • Assists in maintaining adequate supplies for wound care patients.
  • Assists in maintaining appropriate levels of linen for patient daily use. 10. Assists with clerical duties as needed.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Administrative assistant experience a plus
  • Must be able to pickup shifts M-F, 8 am - 5 pm and must be available to work up to 20+ hours a week
  • This position will be mainly working in our cardiac/pulmonary rehab unit
