ABOUT SOUTHWEST INDIANA INTERNAL MEDICINE RESIDENCY PROGRAM

• Mission is to train high quality, compassionate physicians to improve access to care for complex, medically ill, and underserved populations and improve the supply of Internal Medicine specialists to help address primary care shortage in Southern Indiana

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ascension St. Vincent Evansville is looking for an Internal Medicine Hospitalist Physician for our Priority Care department. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension St. Vincent to provide medical services to patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management.
• Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
