About Us The Gastroenterology inpatient service is provided by team of 20+ Consultant Gastroenterologists, supported by medical trainees and specialist nurses. Gastroenterology forms part of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology (G&H) Directorate within a wider medical Care Group. You will be based at the Northern General Hospital (NGH), in the Robert Hadfield building, which accommodates inpatient care in a modern and comfortable setting.
