We’re looking for a passionate Physiotherapist to help our patients recover, move better, and live pain-free! If you’re skilled in assessing, treating, and rehabilitating a variety of musculoskeletal and pain conditions, we want to hear from you. The ideal candidate will:

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Physiotherapist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat a range of musculoskeletal and other pain conditions to help patients of all ages to improve their mobility, manage pain, and enhance their quality of life. Your role will involve developing and implementing personalized treatment plans using evidence-based techniques such as physical therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and provide ongoing support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Registered and licensed with the Alberta College of Physiotherapists (ACP).
  • Open to outstanding new graduates and candidates with 3-5 years of progressive experience in a multidisciplinary clinical setting, ideally in pain management, or musculoskeletal care is ideal.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a true passion for helping patients achieve their best physical health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare administration, regulations, compliance, and industry best practices.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated expertise in effectively communicating with patients, understanding their concerns, and providing ongoing support throughout their treatment journey.
  • Strong focus on detail and precision, especially when handling patient information and medical reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience using EMR systems, Netcare, and other clinic software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations.
  • Key competencies include adaptability, problem-solving, team collaboration, and patient-care.

PHYSICAL & PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH REQUIREMENTS:

  • The role may require physical tasks such as prolonged computer use, extended periods of standing while interacting with patients, handling medical equipment, and managing demands of patient care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Care: Provide excellent patient care by assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a wide range of physical and musculoskeletal conditions.
  2. Medical Examinations: Create and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based physiotherapy techniques.
  3. Treatment Management: Provide physical therapy solutions, exercise programs, and pain management strategies to help patients recover and improve mobility.
  4. Patient Education: Educate patients on injury prevention, self-management, and rehabilitation techniques.
  5. Patient Record & Documentation: Keep accurate and up-to-date of current and new patient records of progress and treatments.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  7. Business Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with referring professionals. Actively collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care, while appropriately referring patients to colleagues when needed.
