We have gone above and beyond to ensure the safety of our clients and employees with Personal Protective Equipment provided, the spacing of clients, screening, and more. Extensive safety protocols and procedures have been put into place and are mandatory.
We are currently seeking qualified Physiotherapist Assistants in the following areas of Durham Region (Bowmanville )

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the supervising physiotherapist in performing various components of the treatment plans for individuals living in the community
  • Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising Physiotherapist including but not limited to gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, application of modalities. (i.e. ultrasound, TENS)
  • Deliver dynamic, safe and therapeutically beneficial home exercise programs
  • Maintain regular ongoing communication with the physiotherapist regarding any changes or concerns about a client’s status or treatment interventions
  • Record visits and treatments using CARs web-based system

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a recognized OTA/PTA program (required)
  • Use of a vehicle(required)
  • Experience in working within a community setting is preferred, but will consider general PTA experience as well
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an inter-professional team
  • -Outstanding focus on safety and ethical standards
  • Strong ability to build rapport with clients
  • Ability to prioritize, manage self-scheduling and meet reporting deadlines
  • Excellent oral communication and written skills
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
