Description:

An opportunity to join the inpatient Physiotherapy team currently situated at Singleton Hospital has arisen due to staff changes.
This post is a Morriston Hospital based position, however, the service currently covers the inpatient wards at Singleton Hospital, which include rehabilitation post planned surgery, the enhanced care unit and management of clinically optimised patients requiring inpatient stay. As part of this role there will also be opportunity to assist with outpatient physiotherapy services on-site, such as, hydrotherapy clinics.
You will join a small, welcoming and friendly team that strives to deliver quality physiotherapy care and MDT working.
As a requirement of this role, there is an expectation to work at other SBUHB sites in response to service delivery changes.
The role will involve working in support of the physiotherapist in the assessment of patients, facilitating timely discharge, delivering physiotherapy treatment programmes as part of an individualised plan of care and promoting independence by working independently or with other members of the physiotherapy or wider multidisciplinary team.
A health related NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification is essential for this post.
Previous experience of working in the NHS or hospital and MDT setting is preferable.
There will be opportunities to work alongside senior staff. Strong professional support is available in terms of in-house training, development and mentoring for the successful candidate.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
