Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate must:
- Possess a Commercial Pilot License - Fixed wing and;
- Have obtained at least 1000 hours of total time and 100hrs multi-engine PIC.
- Have a valid IFR
- Experience in a Piper Aerostar, Cessna Caravan, or aircraft equipped with a Garmin G1000NXI is an asset.
Preference will be given to candidates having experience with turbine engines and low altitude operations like aerial application or fire suppression.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Conditions of employment are as below:
- Legally entitled to work in Canada and are required to obtain a Criminal Record Check.
- Have a valid driver’s license for travel within and outside the province.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Have a valid passport
- Have a modern smartphone with an up-to-date operating system capable of running secure company communication apps, as well as a laptop or device capable of accessing email and suitable for reading small print, such as for exams
- Have CSA approved footwear

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for carrying loading crews and equipment to reload bases around New Brunswick and assisting with various loading duties as needed.
- Operate assigned aircraft in accordance with FPL’s Company Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform all key job duties and any other assigned by the Flight Operations Management team from time to time
- Adhere to instructions issued by officers of the Department of Natural Resources on fire suppression or instructions from the base manager when assigned to aerial application projects.
- Complete required pre-flight and post-flight paperwork in a timely and thorough manner
- Report all items requiring maintenance on the aircraft as soon as possible
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the aircraft at all time
