Join us in solving global energy challenges for future generations.
Join Entr and shape the future of energy
Entr is the dedicated consultancy arm of Aker Solutions. We are at the forefront of the global energy transition. From low-carbon oil and gas to cutting-edge offshore wind, carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) to hydrogen, we’re tackling the energy transition head-on.
At Entr, we don’t just adapt to change – we drive it. We transform bold ideas into groundbreaking insights and deliver impactful solutions that shape the energy landscape. We deliver expert consultancy services that shape the future of sustainable energy, combining both our technical expertise and early phase advisory services to de-risk and maximize value in energy projects worldwide.
Here at Entr, ideas drive us, insights guide us, and impact defines us. To accelerate our growth, we are seeking talented individuals who are creative problem solvers, collaborative team players, and continuous learners driven by innovation.
To support our journey, we are looking for Pipeline Engineers, at all levels, to join the Special Services team in Trondheim.
You will be part of a team that specializes in pipeline design, field infrastructure development, and material engineering across all project phases, from feasibility to detailed design and beyond.
What will you be doing?

As a key member of the team, you will:

  • Contribute to field development projects, focusing on layout and routing optimization
  • Conduct comprehensive pipeline design, including:
  • Dimensioning and stability analyses
  • Bottom roughness and free span analyses
  • Thermal expansion studies
  • Installation analyses
  • Perform geotechnical analysis and design seabed interventions
  • Design and analyze risers and structural/spool components
  • Carry out fracture mechanics analyses, particularly for hydrogen and CO2 applications
  • Develop integrity and risk assessment strategies for existing and new systems
  • Manage projects, including cost estimation and schedule planning.

We think you should have:

  • Experience in pipeline or subsea engineering design, with the ability to apply your knowledge to innovative energy transition projects as well as traditional oil and gas projects for harsh environments.
  • Relevant education and experience in flowline or subsea engineering design
  • Familiarity with FEM analysis tools like SIMLA, ABAQUS, or ANSYS
  • Experience with PLAXIS for geotechnical analysis (preferred)
  • Background in subsea engineering and/or operations
  • Motivation and drive to contribute to further development of the SURF-division
  • Structured approach and ability to work well both independently and collaboratively
  • Positive and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken

We primarily seek candidates with relevant pipeline or subsea engineering experience. However, we also encourage applications from professionals with backgrounds in marine engineering, mechanical engineering, or construction technology and analysis. Your expertise in these related fields could bring valuable perspectives to our energy projects.
